FRANKLIN JONES

Likes to portray himself as a 'takes no shit and gives no fucks' kind of guy-and he's actually pretty good at that. However, that's mostly from his worldview, which says 'the world is total shit, so why bother?'

And let's be real, the world is total shit. In his mind, the characters that whine inside the box have no idea how good they really have it. After all, they can just come back (barring any mishaps in the cloning department, of course)-the people he knew weren't quite so lucky. You know, the real people.

He has to tell himself the characters in the box aren't real, anyway. Even if they do bleed and feel and die just like anybody else. Otherwise, he'd never sleep at night.

There are kids in that thing, after all.

He's not a good person. He's well aware he's not. He's had to do terrible things to keep himself alive-and is still doing 'terrible shit', in his own words. But it's all to survive-even if he does wonder sometimes why he's even still bothering. Not all the time, but just...sometimes. He's tired of the world, of his job, of the entire thing-but he keeps doggedly hanging on, not knowing why.

He suspects he's just too damn stubborn to give up and die.

He's blunt, harsh, and isn't afraid to speak his mind-even when he'd be better off keeping his mouth shut. The kind of guy that swears every other word and spits right in front of you without giving a single shit that you're grossed out. He has a crippling addiction to gambling, and was on the verge of losing everything before The Event happened. Now, it mostly manifests in the bets the other techs do about the poor souls that find themselves in the box-which is how his name got legally changed to Frankfurter Inthe Hole. (Fuck Dick, that asshole. He was laughing the entire time.)

Well...not really legally, but since there's no real government anymore, it's more like "everyone calls him that and his name on reports gets changed to 'Hole, Frankfurter I' even if he wrote 'Franklin Jones' on it." Since then, he rigs or sabotages bets as often as he can-not only to fuck over the dicks who keep calling him that name (It was supposed to be for a few months, but then it stuck) and to also discourage himself from gambling again and having to do something stupid like shave off every bit of hair on his body.

Frank is a man that keeps grudges-even over apparently petty things like cutting him in line or stealing a favorite pen. He'll go after someone with a vengeance if they cross him, and he can nurse a grudge for years without dropping it or letting it go. (Case in point, he hadn't talked to his younger brother for 5 years before the world went to shit. Now, he doesn't even know if his brother's alive.

He doubts it.)

He's very easily goaded into doing things 'to prove something' be it his manliness or strength or just that he can take a lizard biting onto his nipple way better than you can. Despite his inability to ever walk away from a dare, he's very smart about keeping himself alive and just smart in general. Despite his propensity to talk shit, he doesn't often get violent-unless he has to, that is. Part of this is because he never wanted to go to jail for punching someone out- and the other is the lessons his mother (single parent when his father walked out on them when he was 9) drilled into his head about being the better man and how a real man lets his deeds speak for him, and not his fists.

...This is why he's so sure he's not a good person anymore.

Ultimately, Frank is just a man who's grown bitter and jaded from the world-but he still tries, even if he wonders why he does.

Frank speaks with a slight Southern twang-he grew up in Southern Missouri. This is around how he sounds, except a little higher.

Frank is six foot three, and has an average build for a man that size.
